PhD dissertation submitted ✅

Earlier today I enjoyed a culminating moment of three years of work. The dissertation is now in. Time to take a break — then begins the preparation for the viva in early December!

Oh hey, I guess it’s proofs day

I’m remembering why I used to set my alarm for 05.30. I’m up before everyone else and loving the quiet of the morning.

Getting up early like that was sort of detailed when my kids were born, but maybe it’s time to get back into it.

As a South African working on a PhD in Hebrew Bible I can’t say I expected to read a book about Abraham Lincoln for a not insignificant part of my research, but here we go
