This looks far to shiny and new to be fitting to this very well used Massey 550 scraper tractor.
It's only in for a new engine and king pins rebuilding but going do something about that cab now

Just got lucky with this year's car tax expiring just before they start taxing EV's in April.
It was good while it lasted, still saving over £1,300 a year vs what I was paying in diesel.
Only an other 4 years untill the Land Rover is over 40 years old and becomes tax exempt

I might be getting a little carried away with rebuilding this tractor engine now.
Even broke out the Glyptal paint for the head!
Shame its going back in to an absolutely knackered Massey 550 yard scraper.
I'm amazed that I was still able to buy a brand new engine block for a 1970's tractor!

Didn't think I'd be seeing the inside of this engine quite so soon after a rebuild.
Left it idling and the stupid thing ran away on me after the turbo failed and filled the intake with oil, managed to jump in and stall it before it put a rod in to orbit bit still did quite some damage ;v;

Well, I never thought I'd be rolling this car over quarter of a million miles! Only had 50k on the clock when I brought it.
I'm impressed with the longevity of the mid 2000's duratorq diesel.
Sadly it's will eventually be priced off the road by ULEZ charges and increasing road tax.

To make it even better this was installed from the factory on a piece of equipment that has a peak load of 31 amp.
For those outside the UK our plugs have a max rating of 13 amp.
