I’ve spent quite a lot of time on airplanes in the last week, with a couple of firsts: my first time with American Airlines, my first with Hawaiian AND on a Boeing 717 (or any DC-9 relative)!

Not the most comforting time to be hearing and reporting an major commercial aircraft accident but as I pushback from BER on this Embraer 190, it’s important to remember that being on board an airplane is statistically safer than being at home.

The first #PhantomFriday for some time! Last week I managed to visit the RAF Museum in London for the first time in nearly a decade, so I was able to refresh my pics of XV424 (which has also been repositioned to be far more photo friendly)!

I’ve just seen it’s #TornadoTuesday, so here’s a Luftwaffe IDS. I never used to care much for the Tonka but in recent years I’ve grown to really love the old flick-knife!

I have a friend in town visiting Berlin for the first time. Always a good excuse to explore and reconnect with the city; we found this remnant of a Watch Tower which would have once stood in the death strip along the Berlin Wall. I find it somehow quite metaphorical…
