Not bad. Kleven’s struggling to move the puck tonight though.

He’s looked really good tonight.

That’s a low bar, but boy do they clear it.

Strange no calls on Stützle. Right in the slot where both refs should be watching.

@downgoesbrown.bsky.social Sean McIndoe calls that fake .500. Point are points, but they aren’t wins.

Good luck! I hope it goes well/ went well.

I think Spence is one of Ottawa’s 6 best defensemen. I also think Spence is one of Ottawa’s 4 best defensemen.

I think that big strong physical who battle hard often battle hard because they struggle to clear the puck.

I’m sad that Green will never reinsert Spence now that they’re winning

They really should have given up last year’s pick. Nothing against Hensley, but it any pick where you’re out of the lottery is good one to sacrifice.

Thanks for posting here!

I get that, but your article shows that the underlying metrics are consistent with last year’s 19th place unit. The problem with having a bad PK as a baseline is that bad bounces make the Sens look awful. Just have a good PK where bad bounces just look like anomalies. Anyhow, thanks for the article!

Ugh. That heat map for this year. Ugly.

I had missed Green’s quotes about bad bounces. That’s very DJ-ish and I don’t like it at all. With DJ that led to a lack of accountability.

Agreed. It was clear that he was struggling to track the puck. How did the #Sens not fire 50 shots on net!

I could be sad that they sat him for two games, but I’ll choose to be happy that he’s taking advantage of his opportunity and making it impossible to sit him again. 😀

Love that they had Spence out there when it mattered.
October 17, 2025 at 1:34 AM
lol. I’ve been listening. You’ve been warning about him overtaking Ullmark. If you get there, Merilainen is in big, big trouble. And so are the Sens.
October 16, 2025 at 2:36 AM
both special teams are really struggling. What adjustments would he make to each to improve them?

Expected goals are high at 5 on 5 for the Sens but they can’t score. What, systematically, would help them with finish.

I love these!
