Fending off a major mental health crisis since 2024.
Advertisers, please, for the love of god: Watching an advert of someone playing your game badly WILL NOT MAKE ME WANT TO PLAY THAT GAME.

A civilian ship in the UK's jurisdiction (and on a lawful journey) has been hijacked and its crew kidnapped in the middle east, and personally I think that's something the UK government should do something about.

I've been really trying for years now, and it feels as bad as it ever was. I am painfully aware these are depressive thoughts but I can't help but think:

1) It's getting worse
2) It's not going to change

These feelings are far too frequent to be dealt with

I'm not as bad as I was last week but I just feel continuously uneasy about how close I am to that state. I feel like such a piece of shit, all the time.

I wrote a big spiel about my current mental state and how I'm feeling and instead of posting it here I gave it to Gemini to see if I could get an AI insight on it.

Metroid Prime Remastered (Switch) - Overall a great 3D metroidvania, one that quite literally set the standard for all similar games to follow. I did enjoy this, but does stretch on with backtracking near the end too much. Also, I gave up colouring this sketch... #MetroidPrimeRemastered #VideoGame

I'm fucking losing it. I hate my job but I can't leave it. I don't know what to do.

The Accidental Alchemist by Gigi Pandian - Interesting story but it felt very bogged down with a lot of ensuring you understood the main character is vegan. If you're ever looking for some vegan recipes then this is the book for you - shame I was wanting a fiction story! #AccidentalAlchemist #Book

Wicked Little Letters (2023) - This is Coleman at her best, silly, low stakes, and hilariously funny movie with a twisting story that will keep you completely engaged. I loved it! #WickedLittleLetters #Movie

Sick of being sad about shit all the fucking time.

Kraven the Hunter (2024) - So honestly I didn't spend too much time on this one because I didn't want to... It wasn't a great movie, boring and long winded for a payoff that just didn't feel worthy. #KravenTheHunter #Movie

Get Away (2024) - This was such a great movie, I enjoyed the tension, the weirdness, the jokes and the twist near the end. The movie devolves into pure chaos and that's when Frost and Bea really shine. #GetAway #Movie

Gaslit by R. R. Haywood - A well written and structured mystery with some surprising twists and shocks. I loved the setting and characters, and it didn't fall into the trap that Haywood has fallen in before - writing for a sequel. #Gaslit #Book

Hey how is everyone? I'm ✨*dead inside*✨

Black Doves (Netflix) - Campy, bloody spy filled fun and you can tell the cast has a blast making this. Some genuine twists and turns I didn't see coming and overall characters I loved. Clever and funny too! #BlackDoves #TVShow

Tokaido (Funforge) - A very sweet and cute tabletop game of walking the Tokaido road in Edo period Japan. As a pilgrim you must make it through the trail, ensuring you see the panoramic sights, buy the right souvenirs, and (most importantly) eat the right food. #Tokaido #TabletopGame

The Good Whale (Serial) - Interesting podcast about what happened to Keiko, better known as the whale who played Free Willy. Insightful, hopeful but ultimately tragic, it makes you think of the value of conservation and how hard it is to do the right thing. #TheGoodWhale #Podcast

Hug the Sun (Haven't You Done Well?) - This show gave me such "Look Around You" vibes but with a much darker twist. Loved the visuals and how much effort was taken to make it look straight from the late nineties and couldn't stop laughing either. Praise Oxtos! #HugTheSun #TVShow

Going to try and draw something for all the media I consume in 2025 and post it with my little reviews. Will I do it? LET'S FIND OUT.

Matt's favourite Tabletop Game of 2024 was:
Wingspan (Stonemaier) - A delightful and surprisingly deep game all about bird watching (or indeed "collecting" birds). Not super competitive but not cooperative either I enjoyed the laid back and wholesome feeling while playing. #Wingspan #TabletopGame

Matt's favourite TV Show in 2024 was:
Delicious in Dungeon (Netflix) - I'm not a fan of anime. It takes a lot for a show to make an impression and get past that initial hesitance but this show did it - cool setting, actual funny dialogue and beautiful food animation (oh and a cute main character doesn't hurt) #DeliciousinDungeon #TVShow

Matt's favourite Video Game of 2024 was:
Marvel Rivals (PC) - I played a lot of Overwatch, and I've been missing the fun fast paced team shooter. Rivals completely steps up and takes the mantle by entering some very good mechanics, gameplay, and joy. But I do hate Hawkeye, consider him the Hanzo 😅 #MarvelRivals #VideoGame
