Have we landed on a naming convention for the little @-mention UI components? They tend to look like a Tag/Chip/Pill but have more meaning.

why trouble thyself with CSS-in-JS when you could have a little walk-in-the-wilderness. a little peace-in-your-heart. why waste thy hours comparing runtime environments when you could be spending time running in the environment

New rule everyone, apps that have command bars (cmd+k) should not also allow linking text (also cmd+k). It's not my fault I can't untrain my brain.

I wish Zoom had a sound for when you're alone in a meeting and someone else joins. The amount of times I join a meeting early so I won't be late, then forget I'm in there is astronomical.

I don't want a sound for everyone joining though, just the first one after me.

Really loving the trend of unsubscribing from email and it asks me if instead I just want to pause them for a little bit. Like there's actually a world where my future self wants more junk email.

I used to save articles I liked on a Tumblr blog, but I haven't touched it for years. I miss having somewhere to put them though, so I'm going to choose here I guess.

New app idea for someone to steal: An RSS reader that creates daily summaries of articles and then records the summary as audio to listen to like a podcast. A personal podcast based on your subscriptions.

Is there an easy way to set gain correctly on an XLR microphone? I recorded a video the other day and my voice didn’t sound good. I use it daily for meetings, which tend to have noise cancellation and audio normalizing (Google Meet, Zoom, Discord, etc), so don’t normally notice.

What are our takes on custom context menus on web apps? I see some use them - Linear, Todoist, Asana, Gmail, Jira. Many don't though.

On one side, they seem helpful. On the other, it's not very common and might break expectations if you want the browsers native context menu.
