Rivethead, Goofball, Amsterdam based. I run horror TTRPGs for my friends. Day job as a Geek who can also speak Human.
we did in fact do all these things, unplanned in this order, as we went on our Solstice walk today in the Hoge Veluwe. It felt very much dreamlike, fae-touched, and we had to wonder if tonight we would sleep in our beds or dance in the fae courts for the next 20 years

Widdershins around a labyrinth, discover a doorway into the oak forest, walk a pathway up to a small tower, watch the Winter Solstice sunset. Greetings to the Holly King and the Oak King! Welcome back Sun!

Happy Solstice my friends

FEED by Mira Grant. Post-zombie-apocalypse story.

A good fun beach read Took me a while to get into it (maybe because I wasn't yet at that beach when I started?) but now it's rolling and I'm having a good time heading to the conclusion.

Unexpectedly funny movies on the airplane, #1: The Fall Guy

This was perfect for a "captive audience on the plane" viewing. Don't know if it would work so well at home, but the gung ho action and hilarity had me grinning and laughing throughout despite my intention to sleep through it

A movie that takes place where you're from

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

I want to say Tender Prey (Nick Cave), but honestly Leonard Cohen's "I'm Your Man" is superior.

Neither of which I actually heard until my 20s, so I'll add Ministry which a cooler friend of mine introduced me to around this time.

Cooking classes arey favorite Thailand activity! It helps me understand the tastes I'm experiencing on vacation, and is a skill i can bring home to enjoy for years. I do it every time I visit.

Surprisingly Good #Horror flicks I have watched on airplanes:

#3: The Mist (several years ago)
#4: Salem's Lot (okay I admit this one was mediocre but still fun and it fits the theme)

I guess anything Stephen King just gets a pass and added to flight catalog?

And I'm only halfway thru when posting this! It keeps going with these 70s religious psychedelic freakout. Nailed the vibes

Surprisingly Good #Horror flicks I have watched on airplanes:

#2: Dr. Sleep
Holy cow. Surprisingly kickass, How come I never saw this when it came out?

What a cool collection of bad guys & good guys doing their thing. Rose The Hat (Rachel Ferguson) in particular was pretty fucking awesome

Surprisingly Good #Horror flicks I have watched on airplanes:

#1 The First Omen
How did they let me watch this on a plane? Also surprisingly solid modern-made prequel to the Omen series

I went to a prop making workshop, painted a bust of #cthulhu. I learned so many skills that will be useful in my mini and terrain painting where I was struggling! Proper use of Washes, dry-brush etc. So useful in person rather than watching vids.

Workshop by RFX Academy, at Imagine Film Festival

Project #3 of 2025: learning to make gaming terrain!

I have wanted this skill for ages. Finally got a start!

My friend is running a Conquistador+Aztec CoC campaign for us, we are gonna need some pyramids

Roughly modeled on Quetzalcoatl pyramid of Teotihuacan. Not sure how to add stairs yet!

Over the summer, I'll run weekly #CoC & #DeltaGreen games with the stragglers of my home groups and old friends. Each week is a 1-shot with first-come-first-serve signup.

Usually Thursdays, 20:00-23:00 CET, Virtual (sigh)

Want to join us? PM me and I'll add you to the notification group.

Finally watched #28YearsLater so I can now listen to spoilery podcasts such as

Mason and @paulfricker.bsky.social 's Eldritch Stories 15 www.eldritchstories.com/p/eldritch-e...

It seemed like 3.1 different movies in one, each with a different vibe, and I really enjoyed the journey. The Boots poem!

Sharon is making it look easy on her new #Ducati #Monster+, an upgrade from her long-beloved 1995 #SpeedTriple

She feels she is not shifting weight / knees enough, but her goal was to learn her new motorcycle. She has much stronger mechanics/skills than me and will pick it up faster.

I gave in and bought action shots from first track-day at Zandvoort Circuit. "To evaluate progress"

I did make progress and felt much more confident thru the day, But I am not kneeing in enough, compared to the riders on the same curves.

Great learning day. Might be hooked

#Triumph #StreetTriple

Though often terrified, I got a lot of practice shifting weight, finding the apex of the curve, and leaning in harder. Much safer to push on the track than in a forest. A good learning day

And straightaways are fun, hit 152km at one point. (Probably nothing compared to this group I caught on video)
July 14, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Learning requires discomfort. I have been growing more hesitant in #motorcycle curves and needed to retrain

So I took my first track day at Zandvoort Circuit! A good way to get maximum discomfort (learning) under safe & good guidance

Big improvement from the first to the fourth circuit, it worked!

#NIN report continued after some dancing
-March of the pigs
-beautiful liar
-copy of a copy
(Oh. Please play "this is a Trent Reznor song"??)
-Please

I'm loving that this music can still capture and transport us, even after so many years (and from our nosebleed seats), well done
