When running 5e, I'd always say "Passing to x, y (next player to go) on deck" to get them ready. I love in Draw Steel getting to just say "Pass to the Heroes!" (and likewise hear "Pass to the Villains!") it's so dramatic lol

It's probably a bad sign for my psyche that I noticed this but I think the wode-walker complication is adding to the number of recoveries rather than the recovery value like it should?

Nah ignore 'em, making strong characters is cool too. Lots of people have the false idea that having a character with a cool story and being mechanically optimal are a dichotomy, but they're not - it's super easy to do both. You're being hit by the theatre nerds (said with only love)

You're right, you're just attracting a lot of wackos to this post lol. I'd go talk to your DM to ask rather than rely on social media. DnD is a lot of different things to a lot of different people
