So you’re absolutely right & this is a scam that is doing rounds on Twitter ATM. A friend just told me they’ve gotten a few messages too & the other party isn’t even aware it was sent. I’ve never had this happen before it’s wild. Apparently just replying allows account access so, glad I hadn’t yet.

Thank you very much too for pointing that potential scam out to me though. I had not considered initially that it could be similar to the discord one. I’d heard about that happening.

Unfortunately this is (now was) an artist that I’ve watched for quite a while. And I did take the time to verify that.
They themselves might possibly be trying to scam me, which is equally disappointing.
What’s even more hurtful is that many of the artists they are friends with, I also watch

And now I’m being told they need my help to sort out the mess they just inadvertently caused.

My immediate response, right now, is NO. Fix your own shit imo.
