If they want to get serious they could spend some of their illicitly gained foreign currency and rent one of these - with an appropriately skilled crew.

There appears to be a small lift between the two larger superstructures. An intriguing vessel!

It looks like the JMSDF quietly retired the YS-11EA, electronic warfare training a/c at the same time as
the C-1. The YS-11EB - signals intelligence gathering a/c will soldier on.

Imagery posted by Tom Shugart on X of GSI Longxue on 28 Nov 24 likely shows the floating dry dock reported by MT Anderson hosting the sail less sub on 10 Jan 25.

Perhaps not previously reported but the sailless sub observed in 2019 was present ashore at Jiangnan on Google Earth imagery in 2023 and 24. In the latter imagery the boat was adjacent the Type 075 under heavy cover.

Researching the Shanghai Municipal Police Special Branch files. In 1939 my grandfather shot a Mr Lee Tih Fei who was participating in an armed robbery. Mr Lee survived .
