Torn textiles is fine, we used to sell it by the kilo to a rag merchant. Unsaleable books on the other hand just filled bins we paid to have emptied.
Had a paper recycling company collect books for free for a while but it was more a favour done by the van driver than a formal arrangement.

People always seem to overlook the need for EU members to want the UK as a member again.

Rejoining is also not going to happen unless the Conservatives/ Reform are in favour of it. No point allowing UK back in if cons/reform will just take UK out again when there's a change of government.
