There's lots of nostalgia for the older seats. One of the reasons we did the research was to challenge the perception that seats have to be uncomfortable to comply with safety, and to show that you can measure and assess comfort and take it into account alongside all the other requirements.

Possibly this is the first time there's been a switch "on principle" to a platform that's perceived to offer a better version of the "same" product to the one people were used to - it's not like (for example) the switch from FriendsReunited to Facebook in the early 00s

there are also no toilets - there might be 1 accessible toilet I think, but nothing on the scale that you would expect of a station that size. Closest is the Westfield shopping centre I think.

it's sad that the term "woke" has become so misused given its origin is about awareness of social and political inequalities facing black African Americans. Unless I missed the bit of Luther King's speech where he has a dream that people can sub cheese for avocado and olives in their sandwiches.
