True, but drug trafficking thrives because prohibition will never remove the demand for mind altering substances. Legalize drugs to eliminate trafficking.

Human trafficking can’t be divorced from the wider systems of exploitation that society is structured on. Dismantle one and the other unravels.

State collapse always seems inconceivable before it happens, and then inevitable in hindsight. People in the future will say the signs should have been obvious, but it’s a lot harder for us in the present to connect the dots.
