Congratulations to Prime Minister Mark Carney and cabinet. In my roles as Minister, I gave it my all, every day, for Indigenous Peoples and for the newest of Canadians. I would have liked to continue, but I have no regrets. I loved every minute, no matter how difficult the job.

I believe in Mark Carney and know he is the right person for the job at this moment in our history. This next election is too important for Canadians for me just to walk away so that’s why I look forward to representing Montrealers once again as their MP. Vive le Canada!

Woke up prouder than ever to be Canadian! This won’t be easy for anyone, but we’ll come out of this an even stronger country. Vive le Canada!
