The Northridge Earthquake was 31 years ago. This was my backyard- others had much more damage. I fixed everything myself after FEMA gave me $1000.

This was from the week of November 18 to 17. I need to return to this level. Last week was less as my Afib started up again for two days. My cardiologist called in some stronger anti-arrhythmia medication. Resting helped too. Time to get walking today.

My first temple of learning Theravada Buddhism wast at the Wat Thai of Los Angeles, California in 1987. People ask me when (and why) I convert to Buddhism. I never had a positive connection to my father's religion. I am a scientist and always had a buddhist nature. I believe Buddhism found me.

29 years ago, we started our decade birthday golf outings with these guys. I am on the left and just turned 40. We did at 50 for each of us too. I passed on the 60, as had back problems and moved to Arizona.
