Remembering the great Dave Butz who passed away on 11/4/2022. He was a member of the Washington Redskins for 14 seasons and played in 3 Super Bowls. He only missed 4 games in his career and famously checked himself out of the hospital to play against the NYJ in 1987. RIP. #RaiseHail #Comanders

Another great opportunity to #SupportLiveMusic in the DMV. Check out Don't Look Up at the famous JVs in Falls Church, VA. It's an early afternoon show this Saturday, November 8th from 4pm-7pm. This band is fantastic and they have a great arsenal of upbeat blues/rock.

They are both gone now, but never forgotten. CA$H the pug and Sydney the boxer/hound. They rescued me.

When I was in a band, we played a Halloween party every year. This was my costume in 2013. 🎃

My mom with Big Bill ~2013. She loved the blues, but her true love was Tony Bennett. 😅

He also managed the Washington Senators for 4 seasons from 1969-1972. I was a kid at that time, but have some memories, and photos, from attending games at RFK Stadium.

I really like the energy of the songs on this album. From what I've read, it really expanded their fan base. I saw Roxy Music a few years ago in Boston. They were fantastic.

I saw them just once ~2015. I met Brit Turner, their drummer and one of the founding members. He was incredibly nice. I was sad to hear about his passing in early 2024. RIP.

I came across an early Roomful (and friends) photo. L to R: Rich Lataille (still w/the band), Greg Piccolo, Doug "Mr. Low" James, Tom Principato (TP Band), Preston "Prez" Hubbard, Mark Wenner (The Nighthawks), & Al Copley. Not seen is drummer John Rossi. Photo taken by NYC-based Joseph Rosen.

We saw Iggy the other night in Boston. He's 5'6", but looked shorter. 🤣 Fun show. The Sex Pistols were originally on the ticket but recently canceled their tour because Steve Jones broke his wrist.

This looks amazing! My friend Margaret and her collaborator wrote this book. It's a great historical look at Latinos in béisbol.

Wishing an early happy birthday to the great Duke Robillard. Born October 4, 1948 in Woonsocket, RI. He founded the band Roomful of Blues and was a member of the Fabulous Thunderbirds. The Duke Robillard Band continues to perform regularly throughout the world. #Blues #Jazz #Swing
