Lynch is an absurdist for sure. I’d recommend Wild at Heart. It’s a bit different from films like this and Blue Velvet. Watching Lynch movies is always a bit like going to an art gallery instead of a movie. Get the edible, a slice of cherry pie and some coffee for any future foray in to his work!

I saw it today. Thought it was a good entry. Not sure why it got the bad criticism. A very Tom Clancy story line. It also ties into the first hulk movie well. I was entertained. It’s more surreal seeing the POTUS dynamic of the movie against the backdrop of what’s happening in America

The story of why the film turned out so bad is pretty interesting. Lots of corners cut and a super low budget for the script. It’s sad because it was Reeves idea but Kodak studio really dropped the ball. I kinda love it now in a b movie kinda way.
