It seems like a good time for a movie about the Hero that stood for Truth, Justice and the American way. There are some people that need to be reminded of it those ideals.

Trump is just dancing on Putin's strings.

"Give us your tired your poor your huddled masses yearning to be free" so we can throw them in prison without trial.

It's shameful, to watch. It's a betrayal of the founding ideals of this country. It's a betrayal of everything we claim to value.

Cut off ICE's access to local law enforcement resources. It makes their job much harder. It's not perfect but any way to minimize the damage being caused is good, until congress grows enough of a spine to stand up to this.

This is a Constitutional Crises. It's not a matter of if it's a matter of when. There are actions you can take. If congress isn't listening show up to town council meets call your state legislature and governor. Hell talk to your local sheriff.

My main source these days is the Economist. I find that's been a pretty good one. I also enjoy the Podcast "Left, Right and Center" since the multiple perspectives and discussions make for some pretty interesting content.

Trump is a symptom of a a growing distrust of academia and 'the liberals' that has building for decades, and it exists entirely for self aggrandizing and to profit off the people making this media. There needs to be an active effort to bridge the information divide, and restore institutional trust.

There's an entire media ecosystem that's been built to both validate and promote these fears, and to make people even more afraid and distrustful of anyone in authority. They do this because it's a fast and easy way to accumulate wealth and power, and until this is addressed it will not end.

Just a note Russia has not agreed to the ceasefire. I'm skeptical they will. At least this is resulting in US aid and intelligence resuming. That should have never been paused.

Fears of recession leading people to spend less on entertainment would be my guess. It tends to be the first thing people cut back on during economic uncertainty.

It's hard to distinguish between legitimate beliefs and lies because they know their supporters information bubble won't fact check them.
