It's National Pothole Day! So many places in Birmingham to celebrate - we all know where they are!

Birmingham Tories are pledging, if we win in May, to release the £200m of repair funding the council has been sitting on

Nearly a year after industrial action started, agency workers have voted today to join the bin strike from the 1st of December. Labour's utter failure of leadership will likely mean the strike continues into the new year.

Earlier this week Deirdre and I were delighted to be asked by Calthorpe Estates to help cut the ribbon to open the new Edgbaston Village Community Garden off Greenfield Crescent. It's a great space to enjoy a quiet moment or lunch and is open daily from 8.00am until dusk

There are some awful potholes around Edgbaston at the moment, some of which have been marked up for repair for a long time and others which are not. We have reported some today on Metchley Lane, Norfolk Rd, Augustus Rd and Somerset Rd

A number of residents have raised concerns about what appears to be a sinking area on Westfield Rd. It was originally reported last year and it does seem to be getting worse. We are very concerned and have raised it a number of times, but the Council says it will be repaired by June. Let's hope so!

This"temporary" phone mast on Lee Bank Middleway near Ryland Road has been up for 3 years. It's ugly & noisy and the phone company have had long enough to come up with an alternative. We've written to them asking for it to be moved or replaced when permission expires in September
