It's his loss. When I started reading his work, I thought he was creating a series that would be remembered by future generations. Once I saw that he handed the reins to HBO for what remained of the stories, I was upset, but also felt sorry for him. The money was good, but he lost his legacy.

I agree. Unfortunately, creating a constant stream of headlines is the strategy for this administration. By making each one more ridiculous, it normalizes previous actions and distracts us from more important issues. I cringe every time I receive a notification.

It's a win-win for him. It privately helps his true-love Putin by weakening NATO and it is a distraction from the biggest skeleton in his closet (Epstein). Most of what he does can be attributed to these factors, and every decision he makes is like a very obtuse version of a Breaking Bad episode.

If you get your news from the right sources (emphasis on the word "right"), you can pretend that you're one of the good guys. In this space, Kristi Noem can call Renee Good a domestic terrorist while she and others demand that people stop prejudging the shooter (while also declaring him innocent)

–1970 Rolling Stone, Lester Bangs' Black Sabbath debut Album Review (excerpt)

I'd like to propose banning the phrase "academic hothouses"

I wish I could agree with this. Because TACO also applies to sanctions for Russia, Putin has free reign to kill civilians. The EU could do something, but they're afraid of pissing off Trump and getting new tariffs. So, our allies feel threatened and our enemy was given the red carpet treatment.

Agreed! Without considering religion, it could be signs of the end of a republic. The later emperors of Rome had issues, but Rome didn't have nukes to worry about after the fall
