Master and Main are outdated default branch names.

The work that inspired Great Games Need Great Leaders really came out of my Masters, where I interviewed leaders from the games industry to get a better picture of what good, sustainable leadership looks like. And despite our present circumstances, it gives me hope for the future of our industry.

Possibly my favourite chapter to write of Great Games Need Great Leaders was about Culture, told through the lens of Valve's flat studio structure and wheeled desks that are specifically noted in their employee handbook.

Hahahaha, you are welcome! For what it's worth, this is what the menu looked like earlier today. It all sat inside a single folder. Confused the heck out of our poor designer, which is why I had to write documentation. Splitting them into themed folders just made sense.

I've worked on some bigger scale indie titles, but I never expected that a project I was lead on would require me to go through and document all of the different events available for our designer to use in the game.

Omi was never at all intended to get so complex, but I'm really proud of our work.

So excited that we're getting to a point with our work on Omi that I can talk about it more. We have been radio silent while working on it, but we've made a ton of progress since our Early Access release that I think people are going to love.

Something you can expect to see me sharing plenty of will be photos of this guy, Smore, our Woma python. He's just about to hit 2 years old and has easily quadrupled in size since we first got him a year ago. I never expected that a snake could have rizz, but, here we are.

I intend on being more active here on Bluesky in the future, now that I've got a little more free time! Expect to see me sharing more about my book and our work on Omi Oh My AI.
