Agreed. I feel the details of a place make the place, and make it memorable. When I think of a place, I think of the details. And those images are my best, even if I put forth an equal amount of effort into the grand scenes. They just never interest me as much or measure up. Cheers!

Nice stuff, Rob. I take great interest in the everyday stuff that most pass by, like the grasses with dynamic light and the serrated rock edge.

I've been thinking the same! I'd like to tell you about the art shows and art stuff I have coming up. Please mark March 1 on your calendar to attend my opening reception. Look for my most recent post about it.

Nice color on that rust.

Lenswork ran an essay in its digital bonus edition to subscribers on rust. It was pretty cool.

Agreed. That's why I use the Lightroom mobile app on my phone for taking raw photos when I don't have my DSLR. It does a great job and has enough functionality, usually.

I watched the first half last night and I agree it was good to see him light up. It was also obvious that his memories have faded. Also interesting that he was satisfied with hitting each drum in his kit only once!

But Genesis fan so I’ll be watching. Perhaps even tonight. Thanks for the referral.

Nice framing, Rachel. Back in ‘98 when I took this same photo, that jerk Kyle hadn’t desecrated the ruin yet.
