Is the US just a bandit state these days?

This morning on the train I saw through the window a flock of birds flying south for the winter, their dark forms silhouetted sharply against the pink-clouded dawn, and for that brief moment I felt total and utter joy. Then I read Trump’s latest comments and I wanted to smash things again.

Phew. This last day’s play in the #RyderCup has robbed me of my fingernails. But congratulations Europe 🏆
