It is 10 til midnight at the twilight of the United States. I remain the only person who prefers the cookie part of the Oreo. I am utterly alone and yet life still has beauty

There has been a terrible vibe shift here lately. Lots of fear about the U.S. but very little hope. About 18 months ago the biggest issue was surprise wieners and buttholes in the feed

The media is pretty damn skilled at making Trump seem like a doer. Throughout Biden’s presidency it was nothing but crickets, but in the 24 hours since Donny was sworn in I’m hearing he signed an executive order deleting seasons 2-5 of The Office?

Been thinking about that scene in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective where he says “Finkle and Einhorn… Einhorn and Finkle”. No reason at all

To escape the rise of western fascism, I am hereby moving my family to Australia. Australians, where in your glorious outback should I move to minimize my chances of seeing “weird little venomous guys”?

Interesting how you all love David Lunch so much and yet were silent when he failed to reduce global average temps by 1° C with all his “art”

My impression is that services got worse and worse in efforts to cut costs while maintaining revenues. They are now shitty enough that replacing them with AI, while noticeable, is not as drastic a quality change as it would have been 10-15 years ago. It’s the final phase of enshittification

Once upon a time I wouod fall asleep watching Eraserhead each night. I found it soothing. Sometimes I would wake up for a couple minutes late in the movie and have trippy dream tie-ins to the lady in the radiator or the baby. I’ve never seen it from start to finish, and I am not sure I want to. RIP

I used to want video games to give me more freedom, non-linearity, and customization options while also telling a profound and literary story. Now I just want feedback loops that reward my undiagnosed neurodivergent needs.

Watched Richard Linklater’s Hit Man tonight and enjoyed it. It’s wild to me that we used to be drowning in movies like this 20-30 years ago, but now you only get the experience from an auteur. #filmsky

Remake Fight Club except instead of blowing up the credit card companies’ skyscrapers they just go off in the group chat

I’m here to say Shaun the Sheep is an excellent little Netflix show. It has all the visual wonder and ingenuity of golden age Warner and Disney cartoons, but without the need to understand WWII era pop culture references or appreciate big band music.

Steadily gaining followers (OF bots) in the new year! Hell yeah!

The annual ritual of saying “good riddance to 20xx, hopefully the new year will be a good one” is really just an acknowledgement that life is pain. Anyway, join my patreon for daily images of my dogs butthole

Alright so my wife and I finally watched Die Hard. We are both young enough to have missed it in theaters, but old enough to have caught random edited segments on cable. It was fine. And, if your definition of a Christmas movie is “Christmas is mentioned,” then yes, it’s a Christmas movie.

Listen, we can argue whether or not 2024 is worse than 2016, or whether there’ll even be a 2026, but at the end of the day it’s midnight.

I have nothing new to say about parenting, but I’ll say it anyway. Kids are a treasure and can bring heaps of a certain kind of joy into your life. Still, I miss being able to read a book in the middle of the day, or spontaneously go to a movie.

I don’t care for cats. When people share images of “their” precious felines, I am at best indifferent, and sometimes I even feel the opposite of joy. Finally a truth teller is not afraid to say it!

If “woke” Hallmark wants my eyeballs they’ll have to scoop them out like in minority report, send Colin Farrell after me, and keep Samantha Morton in a tub of warm milk. Understand?

Noticing a sharp uptick in Macho Man Randy Savage cosplay reels across my various socials. Is this what it means to “Make America Great Again”?

Would we be better off today if 45 had won in 2020? Tonight, would the electorate instead be punishing his heir apparent for the high inflation of the past 4 years?

Doing the Macarena
Talking about the Macarena
Watching others do the Macarena
