I'm really sad it was cloudy for the big aurora tonight. I went to the beach tonight. All I could see was a bit of pink in the gaps in the clouds (1st pic) the other 2 are just nice night ambiance since I didn't manage to get hardly any aurora on em.
A heavy enough cloud cover to block most of the aurora except for a fairly bright pink gash of open sky in the middle displaying the aurora colors. You can see in the long exposure some light pollution from land. This was taken at the beach. Island and water are only visible in silhouette. A view of the sky from my backyard. Only the brightest stars are cutting through the atmosphere, clouds are blocking the way as well. A faint gradient of green to pink is only visible on camera and not to the naked eye. Tree and bush silhouettes frame the view. A nice view of Mt Erie in the distance reflecting on still ocean water. There is no aurora present due to the cloud cover in this shot. It's just nice beach at night ambiance. I could hear seals or sea lions catching their prey and thrashing them in the water, and coming up for breath, it was a very interesting audioscape at night.

Ideally I want to make a murky turbid tidal flow that looks like it would kill you. Because I think its very interesting and would match this real place I am trying to recreate in vrchat.

Here's some of the concept art of the Signal Beast I did during the process our team went through developing the character!
Signal Beast inhabiting a tv with some spikes down his neck. The facial structure was lizardlike and so we were deciding the facial profile in the lower half of the image. Image is dated Sept 27. A very generic ref sheet sort of thing. Just getting the bodyplan down for the main character. Some notes on body plan, head, tail, and number of digits. The creature taking shape looking more menacing and having antennae now. These are pencil sketches and are a little less detailed but still show off the character. Another image dated Oct 1 with three Signal Beasts shown, it is in a TV cabinet reaching out, and having small antennae as well as an open mouth with tongue out.

Signal Beast admires a TV while siting on the countertop next to it. It is a lizard-like creature with long claws and spikes down its head, and 2 antenna-shaped antennae for sensing signals. Its body is made up of static and television channels and it can inhabit a television. Signal Beast lays between 2 TVs, absorbing the static from both. Signal Beast sits atop a stack of TVs patting the top of one of them. Signal Beast stands with dark static between the stack of TVs

I opened up this game to finally finish it and legit forgot all the controls, oops. At least I did this!
Pokemon research professor Laventon says "A completed Pokedex, at last..." I just have Arceus left to catch and I died in the first barrage every time so I need to re-learn the game well enough to subdue it.

We did it! We accomplished and made something really awesome as a team for VRChat Spookality! I'm thrilled everything (within our control) is working. We will have a big reveal soon, for now have this less exciting performance stats preview as a teaser.
Windows good rated, mobile medium rated. 14900 triangles and 2 skinned meshes, 2 materials slots. My teammates are DekaWolf and Scrunk.

Here are examples of project-breaking things included in a Unitypackage from an avatar creator by accident: Old Pumkin avatar tools version, this will break a project. Uncheck this on import! Also here is an example of a Shader that WILL break stuff. Com.poiyomi.toon is an old version!
Pumkin avatar tools should never be imported into a new unityproject in this way Shaders should never be included in a avatar package in this way, this breaks it!

Some makers call the Material a "shader" but there is a difference here. This is the material that is for an avatar it references a shader that you want to keep up to date. Here is another example of that.
A folder titled "Shaders" from a Bento model project. These are .mat files, these are Materials, not Shaders.

Also make sure all other avatars are hidden in the scene OR make sure the correct one is selected in the vrcsdk dropdown (top left). Sometimes it will select an incorrect one. Hiding the rest that may be in your scene will make sure its focused on 1 thing, your new freshly scripted avatar.
Selected avatar is shown in the top left. In my dropdown I only have 1 thing, and it is named "Empty"

Slightly extreme, but at this point you probably need this: Make a copy of the avatar as a backup to reference. Remove the vrchat SDK, and the Blueprint ID scripts. Click the 3 dots, remove component. Then re-add the VRC Avatar descriptor back. It should be blank. re-set it up from your reference.
Click the three dots in the top of the corner. Remove component. You need to remove this first to successfully remove the blueprint id script. Next remove pipeline manager script. Now re-add VRC avatar descriptor and set it back up from scratch. Sorry.

Idk how often ppl use my Public avatar edits, but I updated this Coyote today to the new Warrens Fast Fur v5 shader (There is still a toggle if you liked v4), and it now has light volumes support! I also added a "gesture lock" button for those folks who like those.

Good news desktop & mobile phone users: I made a switch you can turn on a weird door with. This weird door (visible just to you) is a teleport to the top of the hole. Carry things through it! This will help for accessibility, and you can squirrel away the pickup items wherever you want now!

Wow, an update to Decision Hole just for you: Halloween decorations are appearing!! I also set up Auto-hold on a bunch of objects. AND I finally successfully got it uploaded to IOS for those lucky enough to have that.

A waterfall coming down a forested canyon. Surrounded by green pine and fir and other lush pnw trees. A glacier atop mount baker, this was the closest we could get because the creek was very strong fast flowing cold glacial meltwater. There is a fluffy cloud that is forming over the peak. A nice alpine meadow with berries and blooming flowers fading into a mountain range below. The distance foothills disappearing into the atmospheric cloud cover. A downhill creek view with the sunset framed by lush pine, fir, and similar trees. The sunset was really nice, with pretty gradient colors.

Now this coyote can bite and lick everyone!!
Added in most of the blendshapes for the Unified Expressions for Facetracking. I didn't add all since some just didn't look good on a muzzle face shape.

This really gives me "my fursuit has a moving jaw" energy and I find it to be very exciting.

I've done it!!! I made a DIY facetracker for my VR experience!!! WOW I am having so much fun with it already too.

A naked face-only tracking module that consists of a programming board, a camera, and 2 LEDs. There is a small antenna attached, if I decide to use it while on wifi only. For now it hooks up with a direct connection via USB-c to USB-a to the front of my Index headset. Here is the face-only tracker held in my hand with its lights on glowing a very dim purple. The light is very diffuse since I sanded the covers of the LEDs with fine sandpaper. A temporary prototype solution held on with tape until something better or 3D printed gets done for it. Ugly for now, but works! It is a rectangle of plastic cut to have rounded corners and holes punched in it for the LEDs. The camera is just stuck on with its doublestick tape it came with. The underside of the Index headset is shown. While out on a hike at the park Deka and I found a lost phone. It was unlocked so I could text 'Grandma' on it. We went on a side quest to meet her and managed to return it! She gave us $7 as a thank you. With that I got fresh farm eggs down the street with it. One of my farm eggs had 3 yolks!!
