Hoopoe and Firecrest both from Sizewell, brief views of both! Best from Suffolk today. Nice to get out again though after a few weeks of moving home.

Highlights of a two hour seawatch off Gorleston pier included a Slavonian Grebe N close in, a pair of Velvet Scoter N and this Long-eared Owl in off. Shortly after settling it was 'inspected' - but not for long! - by a fine male Black Redstart.
