I'm happy Disney has brought her somewhat back into the fold in the last decade. If anything, so we can keep educating ourselves and those around us about our nation's history. Even when that history doesn't look so magical. Thank you for bringing 30 years of joy into my life!

But as a kid this movie motivated me in turn to go out, do the research and learn the REAL history behind the Disney fantasy. And enabled me to have those hard conversations in the future and educate others who lacked that knowledge. Which only made me love Pocahontas even more.

Happy 30th Anniversary to the movie that has meant so, so much to me for almost my entire life: Disney's Pocahontas. You can love art, and you can also acknowledge mistakes made and have the hard conversations about those mistakes.

Alright, I've officially started a project in my bedroom that I can't finish. The usual 3M wall hooks work on the loungefly bags in the first picture, but how do you suggest I hang the type of bags with the type of handles shown in the second picture? I'm stumped. Any ideas?

Today on Father's Day I remember this man. I've said it before but oh, how I wish you all could have known him. I realize today he always encouraged me to be a kid and experience my childlike joy when so many others had to suppress that as children(and now as adults). I miss him. Happy Father's Day.
