I believe Trump will only nominate people he has dirt on for positions like AG, that he needs to do his bidding. And nothing will change my mind.

It's my opinion that the reason some Repubs pushed back against Gaetz, was because they are still angry about McCarthy, and not about Gaetz's sexual behavior. If they cared about his behavior, they would be speaking out against all the other Repub sex criminals and they aren't and never have.
