I’m in Makerfield, a red wall seat. The right have been making steady gains the past few years, reducing a healthy Labour majority down to 6,000. Local Facebook/WhatsApp groups paint a dire outlook, they’re gaining more and more support and I can’t see it stopping. GE 2029 could be very grim indeed
