Overtime and long work weeks happen in software development. It's very difficult to eliminate completely. The issue is if there are consistently long work weeks. That can have negative affects. Short bursts of long days/weeks are ok, in my opinion. Also remember to take your PTO! 🙂

Even if the director is incompetent, I would have thought the pre-existing expertise at the FBI would remain intact mostly and not affect its abilities. I guess I was wrong!

That's an understandable pain! I very frequently over use the word "though" and have to consciously go back and remove it from sentences.
