Johnson sent them to recess early! They don’t have to go until recess should have been. He cannot force them.

Or, go to the district when they SHOULD have gone into recess and keep holding hearings for the time that Speaker Johnson gaveled early to hide the Epstein files. You can do both!

One of many reasons was people being unwilling to vote for a perfectly qualified sane candidate who wasn’t perfect in favor of letting an obvious fascist take over. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They don’t have to go when he says to.

The house may be on recess. That doesn’t require the reps to go home. They could be holding hearings on their own. There shouldn’t be a single day where the democrats don’t open the day with a press conference on the Epstein files.

If that’s not happening, they are, like usual, failing.

SOME democrats might be pushing back. You are doing nothing. You took charge and made no real efforts to fight back. I hoped you’d be better than do-nothing Schumer but you’re just a younger version of him.

Yeah. I know. That’s how we got Trump again. How’s that working out?
August 16, 2025 at 9:31 PM
That’s what happened last election. How’s that working out? You think it would be better to have 7-2 on the Supreme Court? 8-1?

You can support trans right AND wish other better politicians were fighting like newsom is right now. Would I vote for him? Fuck yes I would. Do I hope someone better gets into the primary? Fuck yes I do. Either way, I’m voting against fascism and everyone else should too even if they aren’t perfect

There’s a huge difference between criticizing a politician and saying that if he’s the nominee you likely wouldn’t vote for him. Many people are doing just that. If the nominee is Vance or Trump versus literally any democrat, the answer is to vote for the democrat. At least we keep democracy.

There are no free speech concerns. If a company wants to criticize the SEC, they are free to do so. But they cannot benefit from agreeing to settle a case AND claim they did nothing wrong. You can’t do both. That’s normal corporate greed.

We gotta change the narrative we use. It isn’t free healthcare, it’s taxpayer funded healthcare. Or government healthcare. Free healthcare is the term they use because it makes it look like it’s for free loaders.

I pay taxes and want my government to use it for the people not the billionaires.
