When we get to larger values, like a terabyte (1,000,000,000,000 bytes) we are really describing 2^40 bytes or 1,099,511,627,776 bytes. That's a difference of almost 100GB.
Maybe it's time to use the more fun binary term of tebibyte and all the bi-bytes (est. 1998).
