Could be interesting to map out the path a project took, alongside imagined possibilities with different events or decisions being made. Kick-off goes well, or terribly. Client team changes completely, or remains consistent. Key stakeholder leaves, or more join in. A D&G like project retro exercise!

I've used thriva.com since 2017 and their testing box still delights me every time! Such a fun mechanism. The instructions could easily fit inside a regular box... so it's fairly pointless if you think about it practically... but in this case, sod practicality, we need more delight.

Essential in the back of random cupboards everywhere – a bottle of Angostura bitters that you bought after deciding to make cocktails a permanent part of your life, before never making them again. Also essential – wondering why the label is that way…
A little bottle of Angostura bitters on a shelf. The lid is a bit dirty. A sign of dust accumulated over many years. The oversized label is crumpled and folded around the base of the neck. Prominent around the neck are crests claiming the bottle is a product of Trinidad, and that it is by appointment to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. All of which leaves the questions why is the label that way? Will Charles continue to have this by appointment?

I also found these old pictures from a trip to Whitstable in 2010! I loved the jaunty happy nature of these illustrated fish. I love this prompt you’ve created also – the ability to word search our old photo libraries is something we need to play with more I reckon. 👏

Infuriating password creation experiences, part 1 – A thread within the thread – Design Thinking Comic, P@55w0rd5:
A minimally illustrated comic with four panels. Panel 1 shows somebody sitting at a computer reading from the screen: welcome to SecureVille! Before you get started you need to choose a password. Panel 2. Same setting: this password must be at least 20 characters long and contain both upper and lowercase letters and eight numbers (none of which can be the same as each other and must be divisible by seven). Panel 3. Same setting: The password must also include at least four special characters from Cyrillic and Aramaic languages and phonetically sound more roundly bouba than overtly kiki. Panel 4. Set in what looks like hell, with two devils, devilishly devising the instructions. One says "Wait! Tell them it changes weekly too, with no character repetition! The other replies: "Pffft! Hahaha, good one!"

The myriad of awkward (now accepted) patterns and behaviours that video calls have encouraged – Design Thinking Comic, Anatomy of a Zoom call (via www.designthinking.lol)
A minimally illustrated comic with multiple panels, each one a video conferencing view of the meeting participant. The characters are Product Manger, Principle Designer, UX researcher, Copywriter (on mute), Designer, Developer (on mute with camera off). At points through the meeting, while the blank and uninterested faces don't change (and the developer never unmutes or puts their camera on) we read a number of familiar video meeting participant statuses: PRODUCT MANAGER: originally initiated a zoom call for a quick five minute handover chat. PRINCIPAL DESIGNER: has now bloated initial five minute chat into 50 minute tirade around KPIs and value propositions in agonising and pointless detail. COPYWRITER: muted and now just browsing the Internet. DEVELOPER: Unknown. UX RESEARCHER: confused as to why she was invited to this meeting in the first place. Trying to look interested. DESIGNER: just wants to hand over the fucking files to the fucking developer. The comic ends saying PRODUCT MAN
