Odd we must be on different planets with our thought processes. I have never ever had this type of conversation from anyone in the sciences. So I must apologize for misunderstanding you. imgs.xkcd.com/comics/purit... all the way.

If no one else in the world can duplicate my results, I have bad docs, test methods or I lied or was sloppy. (peer review) I deserve to be shot down without appeal(it happens). Wrong is wrong. If everybody disagrees with my opinion... well that is an opinion.. and subject to politics.

I have "faith" that evidence based will prevail. Unfortunately there are those in the world that profit from stupid and promote stupid

Agreed completely, but that is not Science, that is religion and politics. Unfortunately many in our society do not have the ability to discern between evidence based fact and opinion. Religion tried to silence science in the past. It failed at least temporarily.

Science involves interpreting evidence, but it’s based on objective methods, REPEATABILITY and peer review Different interpretations can arise, but they MUST be supported by data and withstand scrutiny. The goal is not personal interpretation, but finding explanations that match observed reality

Gravity, like all scientific theories, continues to be explored and refined, science is based on evidence, experimentation, and peer review, not political agendas. Physicists work within a framework of observation and testing, with findings that are reproducible and subject to scrutiny.

You are 100% correct all opinions and interpretations are subject to politics. Opinions and interpretation are not science by definition. Evidence based is supreme above all. Anything that is not evidence based is foolishness.

Statement stands. Destroy all science books and they get recreated exactly the same no matter who pays. By definition, , MUST be repeatable anywhere on earth. The only thing that changes is when corrections occur.... IE newtons laws of motion proved to be inaccurate on large scale.
November 16, 2024 at 7:01 PM
So gravity is open to interpretation? Observable, repeatable anywhere in the universe is pure science. You are talking about something else that is not science.
November 16, 2024 at 4:18 PM
sorry, your starting post was unclear to me. It's about definitions here. Science is non political. If you destroy every science textbook and recreate you still get the same textbooks. Now how politics attempt to control and pervert direction and importance .. absolutely agree.
November 16, 2024 at 4:14 PM
I guess you mean the the use and teaching of science is political. Yep. Agreed. I am on the pure side sir. I change my opinions based on evidence, no matter what my beliefs .
November 16, 2024 at 4:03 PM
Perhaps the definition of science you use is different. I am evidence based. Gravity will always be non political, as is every single other real evidence based science detail in the universe . Beliefs on the other hand... Yep political absolutely!
November 16, 2024 at 3:59 PM
What is your basis for that statement? Without evidence to back up... Your statement bemows just another unsupported opinion that is meaningless.
