I didn’t bother troubleshooting or commenting before hearing of another person having the issue because I just listened on YouTube for the past couple episodes.

Not sure the best way to communicate this, but I believe I had the same Apple Podcast issue over the past few weeks as the listener you mentioned during today’s show. I had to unsubscribe from the KC Soccer Journal podcast, clear all my downloads in the app, and then could listen after resubscribing

I watch a lot of sports on delay after they air using streaming VOD due to other life commitments and a random pet peeve I have is for games that may go to an overtime (like playoffs), you typically can tell if the game went to overtime due to the displayed runtime or scaling of the progress bar.

Also MLS produces a match day wrap up show, but regularly "disappears" the previous week's episode from Apple TV before the next week's matches start. I'll often catch up on last week's games on Saturday morning before the first games of the weekend but they usually remove the wrap up from their UI.

I don't mind the fee because I watch a lot of games, but my frustration for multiple years has been that the Apple TV+ UI incessantly spoils match results, as they post match highlight clips (ie 'Goal vs SKC '10') directly above or before the button to watch a match replay!

I'm a soccer fan and watch MLS, who paywalled their league behind Apple TV+. If you don't sub to Apple TV+ it's $99 for season pass. Huge bag fumble for the league because the Messi enthusiasm died down very quickly as there's such a high barrier for casual fans to watch games.
