Foliage Friday:

Nettleleaf Hyssop is a flowering plant in the mint family. In Idaho, it was covered with Green Lattice Moths! The dried leaves and flowers can be made into tea and used medicinally.

Black Horse Fly (Tabanus atratus). Tabanus species have scissor-like mouthparts that are able to penetrate the skin and extract blood for food. And, of course, they are vectors for Anthrax. Delightful!
