I know it's just an ad, but somehow I secretly hope someone parked there and they just build the course around that car.

6 - Last part is going back up to the start line. They'll climb Berri which is hated by many bike commuters (one of the busiest bike paths in Montréal) but really isn't that bad. But from the river up to the same finish as Montréal GP it's slightly uphill all the way.

5- Fifth part is awful. In that sector, Notre-Dame is a terrible stroad in an industrial area with the seaport on one side. It's there only to bring the km total up.

4- Fourth part on the F1 track. Best pavement they'll see all week. And then Pont de la Concorde and doubling back in Old Montréal
September 26, 2025 at 9:53 PM
3- Third part is 100% power. Long stretch on the hideous Bonaventure Hwy (which is supposed to be taken down someday), then not Champlain Bridge but the ice structure then the freshly paved road up to Île Notre-Dame. No big climbs and only a few 90 degree turns.
September 26, 2025 at 9:53 PM
2- Second part is right through Old Montréal. This will make for pretty pictures, especially near Place Jacques-Cartier. Looks like Notre-Dame / de la Commune street so they're avoiding the cobbles on St-Paul. Cowards!
September 26, 2025 at 9:53 PM
1- First part to the St-Lawrence River is unremarkable. Mostly downhill. 90 degree left turn at Berri/Ontario will need to be taken carefully, bottom of a small hill.

Pleasantly surprised by the 2026 TT course. They're going way less on the scenic but dead flat part I expected along the seaway. Still a race for powerful guys, but maybe a bit more technical than I thought. A thread

Didn't expect that

There is a mostly friendly rivalry between the two cities. As a Montrealer it pains me a little to admit that Québec is more beautiful and I'd love to have the Château here. Although Montréal has the lesser-known Château Viger of similar style (but it's office spaces and not on top of a hill).
