I hear you, but honestly doubt that a healthy Xbox platform would have bridged the gap here.. I think the proof is right there with Switch. Best launch in console history, and yet come the holiday season, where you'd expect the "causals" to show up as well... and they are nowhere to be seen.

This is wild, honestly. If I was a platform holder, like Sony, and looked at this chart, I would seriously start wondering about why I'm even thinking about releasing a next generation console in the considerable future. Purely relying on affluent customers to carry you feels very risky...

Sony might as well just make the call now to delay the PS6 indefinitely. What would even be the point of it at this stage. This situation, especially in the console market, already isn't scalable with customers clearly.

Purely down to budget I reckon. They are a small team, and if you check the end credits, even the PS5 version was outsourced to someone else.

Weird things happened to Switch 2 edition games too. After the Direct, except for Breath of the Wild which was up for €79.99, all other ones were €89.99, which kind of made sense because Tears for Switch 1 retailed for €79.99. And now Tears on Switch is €69.99 and the games are all up for €79.99.

I think that they are not answering questions because they still reverting some of their bizarre decisions. Not sure how this played in the US, but following the Direct, the Irish Nintendo Store clearly listed Mario Kart for €89.99 for digital, €99.99 for physical. That's changed now to €89.99 only.
