In their latest paper Daniel R. Sáenz-García, Gemma Turnes-Palomino, Luz O. Leal & Carlos Palomino-Cabello report a the hybrid CMAF-6@ZIF-8 — a high-performance adsorbent for tetracycline removal.

Meet Derian 👋

Master’s student at UANL, currently visiting our group. His thesis explores the use NH₂-MIL-125(Ti) to remove lipid-regulating drugs from water under visible light. Here, he worked on Cu-doping the MOF to boost photocatalytic activity.

Carolina Foundation Fellow for academic excellence. His thesis explores the synthesis of MOFs using terephthalic acid recovered from PET waste vs. commercial reagents. He also works with microwave-assisted synthesis to develop more sustainable materials.
