Making a database of Austrian Empire merchant marine is a painstaking labour, cause the process is to enter data into MS Access, than export to Excel and finally make a relations and queries. #Maritimehistory

The Second Battle of Custoza was in 1866, (month earlier 24th of June) again between Austrian Empire and young Italian Kingdom. Again, Austrians won, but nevertheless had to give up the Veneto region, because Italian allies Prussians defeated Austria in the famous battle of Königgrätz on 3 July.

#OTD The First Battle of Custoza in 1848 was fought for two days (24th and 25th of July) between Austrian Empire and Kingdom of Sardinia. Old Field Marshal Radetzky defeated King Carlo Alberto who wanted to spread his kingdom to Lombardy.
