I suppose. Girelli’s injury is terrible. Bonansea is getting up there but it’s a semifinal… The 89’ subs were probably what bothered me more, especially Giugliano. Her set piece crosses were fading a bit but you can’t rule out the possibility of penalties and you need some attacking leader on.

Also not a great decision IMO for Soncin to take off all of Italy’s top attackers with a 1-goal lead mid-second half. That said, they didn’t really try to hold much possession either, until after England equalized, and you can only park the bus so much before a good team gets a breakthrough.

Calling off that Miggy wonder strike was still a…choice. ATL did not help themselves but that was one of those weird MLS ref decisions. 😵‍💫 Also controlled the fouling poorly and unevenly. ATL meanwhile couldn’t buy a goal the rest of the game. But reminds me to wish MLS refs more consistently good.
