I'm playing New River Studios on the 28th of November as part of this excellent line up. First show in a while, and, to be honest, I play so irregularly nowadays that it may be the last show in a while as well. Hopefully see some of you down there.

You could just WATCH THE FUCKING FILMS. That the horror critical establishment is only now waking up to the fact that The Terrifier films just might be a tiny bit misogynistic is astounding. You're a critic. Don't get distracted by ‘strong female characters’ in angel wings and do your job properly.

Number one in a series I'm calling "Late Night Pictures of Richard Lynch".

Seeing as this is where everyone hangs out these days: I'm going to be having drinks at New River on Thursday afternoon before checking this lot out, if anyone's around for a bevvy?

I'm calling this one "Childhood's End (Hands of the Pink Ripper)"

Can anyone identify this font please?

I think you can get a cream for that now...

Slightly better than this monstrosity, I'd argue.

As soon as it kicked in he ran for a cuddle. Poor little fella.

Fucking hell, can you imagine what this would be like?
October 4, 2025 at 9:22 AM
There you go. The elusive pint of mild. Cracking.

We all need to be reminded of that time Cliff Richard played the dark, brooding antihero in a musical adaptation of Wuthering Heights called simply 'Heathcliff!'

(There might not have actually been an exclamation mark in the title.)

According to Wayne Gooderham's piece on @thequietus.com about Van Morrison:

"a love-struck Van went through a period of crouching inside dustbins in order to surprise – and presumably endear himself to – a girl he was especially besotted with..."

How lucky that we have this artist's impression...

What a glorious age to be a horror fan! Where once there was darkness, now, due to the new 4K restoration, I can see that Brian from Zombie Flesh Eaters is wearing this dope ass 'Daily Planet' T-shirt. A revelation!

Look, up in the sky! Is it bird? Is it a plane? NO! It's the return of THE SAVAGE BEAST!

Me and everyone's favourite super hound, The Beast Must Die have used the release of James Gunn's Superman as an excuse to get the dynamic duo back together for a new podcast.

Two of my essays are included in the recent @101filmsuk.bsky.social releases of Stuart Gordon's 'Castle Freak' and David Schmoeller's 'Tourist Trap'. They're doing God's work, these small physical release labels. 101-films-store.com/collections/...

Not a great slasher, but a very beautiful one: The Prey (Edwin Brown, 1983)
