If SMR costs come down significantly in the future, sure why not. But that's still a big if. Australia already wasted a huge opportunity to capitalise on solar in the early 2000s, hopefully it doesn't make a similar mistake chasing nuclear.

Australia does still have the world's largest uranium reserves, so any pivot towards nuclear in places like the UK and US will likely benefit its mining sector, but that doesn't mean it needs to be building power plants itself in the short term. #energysky
