Woke Boomer. :-) There's nothing "conservative" about MAGA. There is no "they". WE are the party. People hold all the power, they just don't know it. Also I love my poodle, Geordi, more than life.

„Quiet, Piggy!“ Just think about that for a minute, and what it means to live in a time when a President can assault a woman in public like that without any consequences.
It‘s quite a testimony to the age of regression we live in.

What to say to any trumper fascist who engages:

"Quiet, Piggy."

"Eddington."

Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, Pedro Pascal. Writer/Director Ari Aster. Like one reviewer says, Aster doesn't just tell a story. He creates an experience. This one, disturbing. Dystopian. Answers the question, "What if people were really like what social media makes them about to be?"

Interesting journey tonight. First, "The Apprentice" which is Roy Cohn grooming herr trump. Not my choice but I don't always get that. Interesting. This led to "Angels In America" which has Cohn in it. It's always important to remember the imact of AIDS in the 1980s. www.imdb.com/title/tt0318...

#DogsofBluesky #RescuesofBluesky Mikey won lots of blue and red ribbons at the last Agility Course Test event. But best of all, he won crowd favorite! Everybody loves Mikey!

We're very lucky to have governors from several of our sovereign states represent the USA in matters of global importance.
Belém! Excited to build on California's extraordinary climate leadership at #COP30.

I find it weird how some people post inflammatory or controversial opinions but have blocked all responses. Then those posts are reposted or quoted. No one, however, is allowed to challenge them directly.

This is Mikey. Mikey did his Agility Course Tests last Sunday. You can tell he's serious about his craft. Look at that tongue!

In the 1964 film comedy "Father Goose," (Cary Grant, Leslie Caron) a group of girls and their teacher are stranded on an island. One girl, Harriet, insisted she was a boy and that she be called Harry. She dressed like a boy. She did boy things. It was fine. Nobody questioned Harry's choice.

I cannot express how wonderful this is. If you've ever had a preschooler, you know that preschool is the most importan thing in their lives! If they go 3x a week, they CRY on the off days! They make friends! They do things!
Multnomah County’s Preschool for All is enrolling 240 new kids while the federal government shutdown is suspending Head Start spots.

Unlike Head Start, there are no income limits to apply for Preschool for All. Learn more at pfa.multco.us.

Bing Crosby played a priest in "Going My Way" (1944). Father O'Malley never evangelized. Never pressured. Never judged. Never lectured. He led by example. It was normal to be of no religion or religious upbringing in film and in real life. Religion was a personal choice, and nobody else's business.

I live in Portland, Oregon. Everything Trump, & his goons, have said about our peaceful city has been a baldfaced lie. Whatever trouble we are having here is caused by the federal forces sent here, by Trump, without an invitation from our governor or our mayor. Go away!

I reflect on my career in technical change management--introducing new tech to tech people. I had universal rejection of the idea of search engines and knowledge bases to battle. "It's going to take our jobs," they screamed. Now all those companies don't exist.

Hybrid Tea "Gemini", a 2000 AARS winner introduced by Dr. Keith Zary, is an easy rose to grow. It is almost always blooming. Just about every rose comes out perfect. Gemini loves to bloom in cooler, cloudy weather, which allows its creamy center a chance to show off much more than usual.

Oh no, they're not lying. Their top priority IS that ballroom (and the impenatrable bunker under it). It just shouldn't be.
Walz: "They are paying contractors to pay down the East Wing but they're not putting money into the food bank. So if there's a sense of frustration in America, it's very real ... when the White House press secretary said their top priority is the ballroom, we could not disagree more."

Well, Fam, just found out our health insurance is jumping from $1700 to over $3000 a month. And we still have to wait till Nov 1 to see more options—when the site will probably crash because everyone will be freaking out at the same time.

Mind blown. The film "Swan Song" (2021) is quite possibly the most exquisite film I've watched in a minute. Stars Udo Kier (pictured) on his final journey to rediscover who he was and perform his final act. A must see.

"But where will we dance?"

-Pat Pitsenbarger, "Swansong"

Played beautifully by Udo Kier.
