You either do the chores and feel like shit because there's no time for hobbies or you don't do the chores and feel like shit because you're a slob.

*Sigh*

Things can be self-evident and profound at the same time. But I wouldn't call such things dumb.

My prediction is people will play this and then realize why so few decks play Somberwald Sage. Even in what people think are creature decks, the restriction will be annoying.
March 27, 2025 at 12:49 PM
Is it really amazing? People want to play their decks, I think it's a perfectly predictable reaction.

To each their own but suggesting there were no other ways to "tie up" the story is just a staggering lack of imagination.

Literally thousands different options that were better.

Would be ME except they fumbled the ending too hard.

So it's The Witcher despite how wonky the first game is.

I mean, the world might be a better place without some people like that.
February 13, 2025 at 12:48 PM
I'm weirdly the opposite, I'm only really nitpicky and critical of the games I do play a lot.

Not saying you were actually being uncouth, obviously you weren't, but I'm just saying, IF it's considered uncouth to support anyone marginalised and treat them with humanity, I'll gladly be uncouth. These people's warped sense of propriety isn't worth anything next to the wellbeing of real people.

Most, actually. There will always be some enthusiast keeping 100 year old technology alive.
February 3, 2025 at 11:45 AM
And it doesn't make sense in any single language so it's just a completely masturbatory idea.
January 27, 2025 at 3:31 PM
I've never been able to see how it's supposed to be depicting a creature of some sort but the art is still neat as heck.
January 27, 2025 at 12:56 PM
It's not, I never said it were, but it exemplifies why "creating something new" isn't necessarily creative.

A broken clock shows the correct time twice a day. That doesn't make it not broken. That GenAI sometimes produces something you deem meaningful is only impressive to your biases.
January 26, 2025 at 2:23 AM
I can knock over some paint cans and accidentally create a novel painting. That doesn't make what was created an actually creative work.
January 24, 2025 at 10:10 PM
That's not what anyone has ever said. That's not what anyone who talks about regurgitation means.

Every single text any GenAI ever creates is strictly speaking novel. That total configuration of words has ostensibly never existed before.

But creativity is so much more than just novelty.
January 24, 2025 at 10:09 PM
Yeah, that's the entire purpose of AI, to create things that aren't in the training set. That doesn't make it creative, nor really that impressive once you understand how it works. You're falling for your own confirmation bias and you seem to forget it fails as often if not more often.
January 24, 2025 at 10:04 PM
No. It's a language model. Obviously creating fancy language is exactly what it was created to do. It's basically just the "thousands of monkeys with typewriters" concept under the hood, it's just very good at eliminating 99% of the worst monkeys and have let them run for thousands of years.
January 24, 2025 at 9:49 PM
But the water is wetter.
January 24, 2025 at 9:38 PM
Colloquially, any form of "creation" could be called creative, but obviously most forms of creation is just regurgitation. For example, making a snowball isn't creative just because it was created. That's my distinction. You could say "strict creativity" if it sounds better.
January 24, 2025 at 9:31 PM
So you think genAI is capable of everything that true creativity entails? Really?
January 24, 2025 at 9:21 PM
The regurgitation view is strictly true. The only other option is to claim that LLMs are capable of true creativity, which is obviously laughable.
