What I really mean is that devoting an entire character to healing is a bad idea because healing kind of sucks, it's usually only useful for playing whack a mole

If you are playing 5e, don't worry. Healer is not a necessary role and DM can very simply mitigate lack of one in the party.

No, only one chance, but at the same time the more abilities you roll during the session the more of them can you upgrade, it's a cute little system. It's simple to learn too.

Honestly I prefer when combat goes a little out of hands, that includes DM hands, I don't only want to kill enemies, I want to almost lose doing it.

During the game, as you play you are rolling your skills, attacks and spells by using d20, each time you hit 1 or 20 l, you can mark given ability for level up. At the end of the session you roll each of your abilities marked for level up to have a chance to upgrade them.

Probably understood it wrong but "Dragonsbane" leveling system is based on rolling NAT 1s and 20s during the game, after that you can level your abilities with this.

I remind you Nintendo switch often has a problem supporting it's own games...

To be honest I disagree, I much prefer companies to experiment rather than just repeat the same thing over and over.

Centaur warlock of the undead, Their patron is a dullahan and they are tasked with finding it's head.

If you squint a little, it looks like a necromancers version of facehugger. (Remember animate dead does not require full bodies)

They actually get hired by the dragon to stop the war from breaking out

Better yet, imagine a dragon is in a bad mood for an unrelated reason and it causes a diplomatic incident with those 3 nations blaming each other for it.
November 22, 2024 at 10:38 PM
Think bigger, for example a huge forest between 3 nations that is a lair of a moody Ancient Green dragon would have tremendous effect on the world building.

I always for some reason thought dragons are immortal, but it does make sense.

It's even more interesting if they do change the environment, they might be friendly and have a tender side, but them being there will eventually cause problems, it does call for action from the party and have many solutions.

16 from this dragon category is a bit sad
Letting dragons mold their territory by just their presence combined with shape shifting dragons from fizbin can make for a tremendous setting

Excellent design, I'm not to familiar with how the game dev works, did you do the visual part as well as gameplay part?
November 22, 2024 at 8:41 PM
"No" doesn't sound all that appealing, "No, but..." Sounds a little better. "You can certainly try" backed up with an evil grin that would make Vecna shutter? Now that's a proper response.
