Some caveats in the paper & with early meta-analysis, but a examination of all 51 experimental studies suggests ChatGPT helps learning.

This is grim because there's nowhere to go.

The US spends more on research and development than any other country in the world (by far), and we have more PI-level positions than anywhere else (by far).

More than 1,600 readers answered our poll; many said they were looking for jobs in Europe and Canada.

If true, this is unbelievable.
Ruling out the investigation of biases means destroying a wide variety of computational social science-, anthropological and psychological research science but also key research on AI and safety.
This is highly dangerous for science.
RIP any human subjects methods section: women, gender, female, excluded

RIP math/stats: biases, marginalise, equality, inequality, group, inclusive

RIP social sciences: status, systemic, political, group, socioeconomic, institutional, cultural

This is not just evil it is also SO VERY DUMB
🚨BREAKING. From a program officer at the National Science Foundation, a list of keywords that can cause a grant to be pulled. I will be sharing screenshots of these keywords along with a decision tree. Please share widely. This is a crisis for academic freedom & science.
