It may have slipped by me but has anyone read or heard anything about Raven Scholar?

Saw it in waterstones and the dust cover description sounds interesting, so I figured I'd check if anyone here has any thoughts on it.

Double stamps at Waterstones today. Popped in for a look about. Saw @shaunalawless.bsky.social new book in the wild.

With Prime day having swung round, I decided to treat myself to a new kindle since my old one was nearing 15 years old.

It'll be nice for reading when I'm on my holiday at the end of August into September.

I was in York recently. Meant to post this sooner, but there's a little bookshop dedicated to one series, with a bunch of little memorabilia. Just figured it's a bookish thing worth sharing. #Rookscroft.

Saw these 3 in Waterstones York, not only do they look amazing, but the first was a great read I'd been meaning to continue from for a while. Now I have no excuse. @shaunalawless.bsky.social

Went to Waterstones Sunderland this morning for a coffee, then a trip to Waterstones Metro Centre to have a look at what they had, and more coffee and a cake.

Book Folk, I want to know what "backlist books" you feel don't get mentioned, have been forgotten or just deserve a shout out. #BacklistBooks.

I rarely see mention of Wounded Kingdom compared to Tide Child or Wyrdwood. And can't recall seeing mention of Starborn compared to Sistersong for a while.

I'm not 100% committing to this, I should *really* try to get through my TBR, but I'm curious as to what recommendations I'd get from folk.

I've never made a secret of my beard. I think I may have posted a non-masked face years ago in the old place. But it's grown to longer than the braid, and I figured why not.

Got the mobile app though to save the day.

I could read Book of the Ice, I could read the Demon Cycle, I could read Empires of Dust, I could read The Last War.

Opinions on my decision are welcome.

This sounds like an ideal way to spend Christmas eve.

Book folk, repost with a book you don't see shouted about enough.

How did I miss the Our Lady of Blades cover. @eleni-argyro.bsky.social have I just managed to miss everything about it?

Christmas lights turned on tonight in the city. Looked nice today.

Got carried away playing and only got one picture during the game. White won by getting the king to escape.

Hnefatafl, coffee and cake. I've been looking forward to this.
November 16, 2024 at 2:50 PM
Been a little while since I played Hnefatafl and had a coffee. I should try to put some time aside just to do that again.
