Clearly the writing isn't bad enough to preclude popularity. Plenty of adults (often insufferable types) enjoy hp. Just because someone has bad views doesn't automatically mean they are bad at their craft. Attacking her writing is missing the point on what is actually problematic.

Simple. Delete the save upon reloading. Save on exit is purely a convenience feature for people with lives.

Save points can create regular saves that don't get deleted.

Or let people save scum, it's a single player game, if that's how they wanna play, that's their choice.
