Huff openly said Marshal has barely any NIL when Cam Fancher transferred meanwhile Southern Miss has a pretty established collective with a full-time director employed by it.

Pretty easy to see why this decision was made if you look past the surface.

It’s a lateral move except for Southern Miss offering a higher salary, a more established NIL collective, and it’s easier to ask those kids he recruits from Florida to come to MS than WV.

I suspect he thinks that he can have 2-3 great seasons in Hattiesburg before finally going to the P4.
